About Dr. Friesen
Originally from Ontario, Canada, Dr. Friesen received his doctor of medicine degree from Queen’s University Faculty of Medicine. He completed postdoctoral training jointly at Wright State University School of Medicine and Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
While at Kettering Medical Center he was awarded the Albert A. Brust award for “Excellence in Internal Medicine.” He graduated summa cum laude in 1987. Dr. Friesen is a Member of the Neuroscience Education Institute and the Age-Management Medicine Group with special medical interests in neuroscience, disease prevention and targeted Neuro-Nutritional therapy.
Dr. Friesen developed “Lipids4Life,” a lifestyle-based, non-pharmacologic approach to cholesterol management and heart disease prevention. He is the author of the soon-to-be released book “The Real Cause Of Coronary Artery Disease: What Your Doctor Doesn’t Know!”
Currently, Dr. Friesen is in private practice and lectures frequently on the subjects of Inflammation Overload, Accelerated Brain Aging and the Neuroprotective Lifestyle.
His unique “brain-based” approach to health is the subject of his current eBook, “How To Build A Better Brain: It’s Easier Than You Think!” and “Balanced Brain—Balanced Body: The Brain-Based Approach To Permanent Weight Loss.”
